Christmas Season Craziness

I have a few days left on a WDW ticket that expires on Dec 20th, and I'm trying to decide when to go, which is a challenge with the holidays upon us. Fom other's experience, do you think the weekend of Dec 18-20 will be crazy busy? It's the weekend before Christmas weeekend. I've always heard that the time between Thanksgiving and Christmas is relatively low-attendance, but this is getting awfully close so I thought I'd ask for opinions.

ocm and I make our annual Holiday trip to DLR the week after Thanksgiving - we find that monday may have a few stragglers from the weekend but tues thru thurs are relatively slow and picks up again on Thurs pm because that is usually the weekend of Candlelight - Haven't experienced WDW at the holidays so not sure it would be the same - but any time at the Parks at the holidays is a great day for me...

I've been down early December and attendance was really low (12/1 - 12/14). How fast it ramps up as you get closer to that 25th date, I don't know but I would be willing to go down again during that period. I've heard really bad stories about the 24th through New Year.

I think I'd expect the ramp up to start the 17th -18th. It often depends on when school breaks take place. I don't have kids so I'm kind of shaky on just when that might be; could be the week before, maybe the week after? Dunno. Both those weeks could be busy.

As the others have pointed out, right after Thanksgiving through (I would think) the first couple weeks of December, are generally low crowd times. It's also one of our favorite times to go!
