Disney has released their live action "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" trailer: http://www.apple.com/trailers/disney/thesorcerersapprentice/

From the trailer is looks pretty cool, there appears to even be a scene in the movie that pays tribute to the original "Fantasia" sequence... The movie is scheduled to be released July 2010...

All I can say after that is: "Wow - I want to see that."

Looks like a great story and a fun adventure. And I did like the scene with the flooded workshop. (wonder if he will be wearing a Mickey shirt for that scene.... probably not.)

Ok, so who's seen this? We just returned and loved it. Action packed. Oh, and make sure you stay to the end of the credits. Not spectacular, but well worth it.

Glad to hear you liked it! The reviews haven't looked very good, but I like Nicolas Cage in quirky roles, so I want to see this one.

Apparently, it bombed this weekend, but I think the critics were a bit harsh on this. I liked it and see much potential for future installments.

Saw it. Liked it. Would recommend it.

That said, I would also caution against taking little kids. There are a few scenes they might find scary/creepy.

I thought it was a good story, entertainingly told and well acted. Some of the effects were incredible.

The critics are always looking for some "moving message filled" movie. Thinks they have lost focus on my main reason for going to a movie. It was entertaining.
