Dear readers, I'm just dropping a line to ask you about any particular track in which you have learnt something you didn't know about the first place. Such as who was the voice actor in the track, who composed the music, or even if that track was part of an attraction's developmental phase. Anyone? |

Several.... that one of the best things about UAB's "My Favorites", it's like tagging the song so you can remember it and play it later. There would be too many to list, especially tracks that I didn't know who composed them. One example: Japan - Meet the World, didn't know that this was a Sherman Bros song...
There is also alot of learn about tracks if you read the comments... Several members, like myself, like to add little trivia bites... _________________ Up or Down North, South, East, or West An Adventurer's Life is Best! |

Oh gosh, so many! I'll try to keep a watch when one comes up that it has happened on.
Like said above, there is so much information available here on the site-and through the members, I've learned SO much more about the music of the Parks over the years.
Great topic!! I'll get back over here when I remember a specific track.

When I worked out that the date of this Peoplemover track was within a four month period in 1986, I was do delighted that I can't help but request it ALL THE TIME now. |

I love the people mover tracks--well, many of the older DL tracks from that era are some of my favorites!
It is super fun to stumble upon one that really brings back a memory of an attraction or a special visit to the Park for sure!

I like the older DL tracks also, but not for the memories (I only first visited DL about 20 years ago) but because they are what the park was. I really wish I was able to visit the park in the 70's, or even the 60's. _________________ When you're curious, you find lots of interesting things to do.

I too find the "older" tracks the ones that evokes the most memories for me as I did visit DL when it first opened and then became a super fan only after ocm started letting me tag along and meet up with some new friends like dp and lil deb - our memories are extradordinary - however, one day I had to text ocm because I was hearing about Mesa Verde - the National Park that is in our backyard in Colorado - and she then explained EPCOT to me and how it was a place of teaching and learning - hopefully someday I will get to experience it for myself - |

Here's one that I found really fun. The Haunted Mansion album that showcases the voice talent of a young Ron howard.
I first heard this track whilst waiting for a ferry with a friend of mine. We were listening to the story and heard him---we just started to laugh! It's amazing the breadth and scope of the world Disney has touched. So much talent!
Fun stuff!

Thanks to a comment by jahosifatz, I learned that the 21st century "Disney announcement voice" is performed by the prolific voice actor Corey Burton. I may have heard this before and forgotten. At any rate, it's a very distinctive voice. I remember it most from Disneyland parking lot tram (2001?-present). |
