Finally - here are some pics from Figment's adventures with GrumpyDaddy and ksdisneyfan. Sorry for the delay
Here's Figment just getting in with his baggage:
We introduced him to Figment O'Soares:
After going through Figment's bag, they found they had some thing in common (check out the cats from Japan):
It was an eventful day, and soon, Figment was tucked into bed with MinnieMe (otherwise known as our darling daughter) , relaxing with a good book.
It was off to school in the morning, this was not just a vacation trip after all. There was learning to be done!
A few days later, it was time for school vacation and we were off for the long ride from Massachusetts to Williamsburg, VA. Figment was safely strapped in the car with his old friend Pooh:
That first day of travel was exhausting and we were all soon asleep in our hotel to rest up for our trip to Busch Gardens the next day. (Wait, can I say that here??)
More to come!![/img]

The next morning, we were up bright to go to Busch Gardens Europe. Some crazy coasters awaited us.
Figment was tucked safely into what was to be his home away from home for the next 10 days:
Figment found some familiar sights that day:
Sorry Figment, this isn't the UK in Epcot
Hey, is that you Dreamfinder??
Sorry, wrong again
But Figment did find some new friends:
Figment did ride on a few coasters with us - but wouldn't peek his head out for a picture
It was on to some more historical sites next. Figment didn't quite get the award for good behavior in Williamsburg, but he soon learned the rules:
We did surprise a few of the locals. They didn't know quite know what to make of our little purple friend:
And we had a nice meal in the local tavern:
We went back in time from there, to where the settling of Virginia started - Jamestown. Our first stop was the Powhatan Village. They put our little buddy to work:
There was a short break later in what of the Powhatan dwellings. We never did run across Pocahontos:
Our next stop was a tour of the ships that brought the early settlers from England:
And Figment was glad to know that he could help protect them if needed:
He even tried suiting up, but found his size unavailable:
We were on to Yorktown in the rain next (sorry no pics there), but stay tuned for some from our continuing adventures! |

Our time in Williamsburg was over, but we were on to Washington D.C. with a short stop at the Luray Caverns in Shenandoah National Park. Figment loved the coolness of the caves and the cool colors - reminded him of a place he visited in his Imagination!!
We had a busy schedule in D.C. so it was a short visit:
Our first stop was the Smithsonian's Museum of Natural History. Figment found it a bit scary:
We thought it might be safer around the corner:
Oops - not here!!
Figment found the moonrocks and geology exhibits much more to his liking. He even found the earth's oldest rock:
He finally found some old friends in the Air & Space Museum:
Seems trips to Disney have a place in history!
Our next day was spent at the National Zoo. The stars of the zoo couldn't be reached for a picture, but Figment was happy to visit their home anyway:
He found another long lost cousin - the giant salamander:
But his exhibit was under construction
Our next stop was to visit a couple of mammals that have as much fun and get into as much mischief as Figment
After our quick detour to the zoo, it was off to downtown D.C. and the White House:
They saw us coming and quickly locked the gate
Our last stopw was a walking tour of the monuments in the area. Figment was quite impressed with the Washington Monument:
And saw the Lincoln Memorial, World War II, Vietnam Wall and Korean War Memorials. It was quite the exhausting day.
Figment was quite the perfect guest - we were sad to see him go |

Excellent. Figment sure has a good time with all his UAB buddies. And he always seems to get a history lesson thrown in. _________________ [ |

It worked well teaching Figment history.
If we had tried to teach some history to DD while on vacation she would have had
nothing to do with it but as long as Figment was involved she was good with that. |

Williamsburg is great! Glad Figment enjoyed it. So, now that figment has seen Washington DC, FIGMENT for PRESIDENT ??? A platform of fun and freindship. Rising admission costs and...um, ah...nah, bad idea |
