We never say much about counter service restaurants on the site, but there are some very good choices out there. Donna and I especially like the grilled chciken Caesar salad at Starlight Ray's. And we get to see Sonny while we enjoy it.

I heard a few people talk about the pasta at some of the resort food courts. (It was carbo loading for marathon weekend of course.) We had the ziti and meatballs at All Star Sports and it was delicious and plentiful.

The Disney restaurants offer some of the best dinning I have experienced, and the counter service options are good, quick and affordable.

I've always enjoyed Casey's Corner and Pecos Bill. Quick and easy and no too hard on the wallet. Starlite Ray's is also pretty good for a burger, excpet that it is VERY popular. But as Frank said, you get to see Sonny.

Well out in my neck of the woods in DL, you can't forget Red Rockets Pizza Port. Their Chicken Fusilli is out of this world!

I'll second the motion for Pizza Port(or Pizza Planet, as I like to call it).

Gotta mention that Rancho de Zocalo has recently gone over to a less "traditional" and more authentic Mexican menu- no more nachos... but still a great place to dine!

I like going to Starlite Ray's as well. My DD always likes to sit down
in front so she can watch Sonny. Smile

I ate at the food court area at my resort, ( Port Orleans )
several time and the food was good. I to also had some pasta and
meatballs the evening before the race. They gave me plenty of pasta
which was good seeing is was trying to laod up on the carbos.
There are many others too if you just want a quick salad or sandwich.

Cosmics Ray's Starlight Cafe isn't a bad place. I used to like it a lot...that is..Until UAB made Sonny available for requesting...I don't know how I'm going to feel on my next trip however...

As far as counter Service...There's a few places that aren't a bad choice. the ABC Commissary over at MGM Studios comes to mind...

Counter Service for Wine fans can't beat the Golden Vine Winery...

Strips Dips and Chips over at DCA serve up some nice and quick meal sized appetizers (chicken fish and mozzarella strips, along with funnel cake etc).

EPCOT has a crap ton of counter service options....Electric Umbrella, Fountain View Bakery (sooooo good)

Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe (a favorite for baked goods)

There's more but I'm lazy Wink

Epcot does offer some very good choices. We had a lamb sandwich and a Casa beer in Morocco on the last 2 trips. There is a very tasty sauce on that sandwich. Sure beats the burger and fries routine.

Also in EPCOT there is a good sandwich place in the LAND you
can also go to to get away from the normal grind of burgers
and fries as well as other foods in you need a change. Eat

Well I would be remiss if I didn't add the White Water Snack in the Grand Californian.

Probably the cheapest place in the resort, not well known about, so not to many crowds, great food, great service and a great place to dry off after GRR Smile

I love the counter service in some of the parks - definitely a step above counter service at some "other" amusement parks. The Pecos Bill's burgers are awesome - especially when you load them up at the fix'ins bar. And I love the chicken tenders you get at most of them. I also like some of the same Epcot ones that tE mentioned - acutally any of the bakeries are good in my book Wink

Cosmic Ray's is a great place for a burger or chicken sandwich. They are of reasonable size, around 7.00 and you have a topping bar where you can pile on the sauteed mushrooms, onions, and all the usual toppings.

Hey folks. I know I'm getting to sound old-fashioned but when it comes to food of ANY kind I just have to open my mouth. At DL the counter-service is actually more diverse. First and foremost has to be the Tomorrowland Terrace for their classic "moon burgers" and "star fries". Also, the Hungry Bear Restaurant gives you a great view of ROA as well as some of the biggest onion rings I've ever seen! Last, but certainly not least, the recently refurbed River Belle Terrace, which takes the art of the sandwhich to whole new level. Well, if you're on the run and need a quick bite these are the places to be. Bon Apetit. Peace.

As a vegetarian, finding a decent quick bite can be hard. I have always liked Cosmic Rays and Pecos Bills for their vegie bugers that can be piled so high they can be turned into salads! I also like the Columbia Harbor House for the veggie chili. Can the Dole Whip stand count? Wink

The ABC commissary is good for a marginal pizza. I also like Wolfgang Puck's in DTD.
