Ok, I don't normally say this, but does anything else think that the Cranium Command Demo is very, very weak....? I am so glad that this is just a demo and not the real show...
I mean it's cool that we have the demo... but as far as shows go, it would be a little pathetic if this was the real show... |

I agree. It's terrible. Sounds like something a few guys with cool edit could put together in a few hours.
Makes you really appreciate the 'professional' voice guys like Paul Frees, Corey Burton, etc. |

Oh, totally. Comming from a CC fan it's really bad. It's something you would hear at Sic Flags or Knott's Berry Farm, ya know. |

that is why it is a demo... Guess this is one where they DID learn from the mistakes. I think it is interesting to compare it to the final and to see where thy kept things and where they changed things. |

Apparently I have recently listened to a sample of the track elsewhere. Okay, so the theme song is well written at the time. Of course, be thankful I haven't listened to the rest of the track yet... though.
Though between me and everyone else here, is it just me or do you think the only good thing about this track are the theme song written after the amateur-GK attempt? A well written motto for the Cranium Commandos at the time... |

I actually like the Cranium Command demo. It's unpolished, but the brilliance of the concept still shines through.
It's like watching a "behind the scenes" featurette on a DVD or listening to the demo recordings of your favorite band. It can be fascinating to observe the creative process at different steps on the way to the final product.
Even EPCOT began as a drawing on a napkin. |

Too bad that some weak concepts (like Food Rocks!) make it to the final cut! _________________ John |

The Kitchen Kabaret was timeless. It could have played for fifty years and wouldn't lose its appeal. Food Rocks, like so many other shows Disney puts out now, was dated with the songs it highlighted and the performers that played them. The same goes for Cranium Command. It was dated from the get go, with old 80's and 90's actors. _________________ John |

And for the younger kids, those 80's and 90's characters aren't as funny, but to those of us from that era, it's awesome!! I do miss Cranium Command.... _________________ When you're curious, you find lots of interesting things to do.

I agree that is was quite poor, but nonetheless i did enjoy it because it gives insight into the Imagineering process, which I find quite fascinating. However, now that i have heard it once, I probably would not be terribly excited to hear it ever again. |
