Does anyone know when the Mansion will close to convert over to HMH?

We're heading out in mid-September and didn't know if the Mansion would be open in its original form, the HMH overlay, or closed due to transition.

I'm not positive, but I think it goes down the first and does not re-open until nearly October.

I do know there is a Friday the 13th event this year, but do not recall if HM was mentioned.

Being at work currently-I'm having some difficulty navigating about as I typically would in the Disney Universe. I'm going to think very happy thoughts and hope it re-opens on one ltldeb's birthday, just for her!

In 2011 HAlloweentime began on the 13th of September---I'd say that is promising news!

I haven't' seen anything official, but it seems DL Halloweentime begins mid-September. I do not know, however if that includes the re-opening of HMH. If anyone has their copy of Backstage Pass---did it mention anything or only a Villian extravaganza on the 13th??

The Disney Blog has the opening date listed at the 13th of September! All will be open and running when you guys are down there Smile

And I do like HMH, but really prefer the Mansion in it's more 'original" form. But I'd much rather have HMH than no Mansion at all!!

No prob! It's a tough call for me anymore--I see HMH so much more often that the original feels different for me. Both are super, though!

Plus, you get the Space Galaxy too on Space Mountain!

I learned a new appreciation of Haunted Mansion when I went to an event at the Mansion with some UAB admins and now it is always a must - but seem to see it more at Holiday and I am with moose - I like Holiday a lot - hope you guys have an awesome time Smile
